POLOS MELLUM
Required ingredients
- A polos fruit ( young jack fruit )
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- salt
- A small piece of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of cumin seeds
- Few curry leaves
- A green chili pod
- A little coconut oil
- A cup of coconut
- 3 cloves of garlic
- Two or three red onions
- 4 dry chili pods
- 1/4 teaspoon mustard
Steps
- Cut the polos into pieces.
- Grind together the curry leaves, cumin, red onion, garlic, green chilies, and cinnamon and add coconut to it and grind it and keep it aside.
- Now add 1 cup of water to the polos cut into pieces and add turmeric.
- Now put this on the stove and keep it covered until the polos are steamed.
- Add a little salt to taste.
- After the water settles, take it off the stove.
- Put a pan on the stove and add some oil when it gets hot and add the mustard.
- Add some chopped dry chili pods.
- Add the ground coconut to this and add the polos along with it.
- Keep it on the stove until the coconut is wilted
